Kelly Armstrong is the most capable leader I have ever seen in politics. In 2016, he was Chairman of the North Dakota Republican Party. During the convention, I complimented him on how well he handled a contentious part that he presided over. His replied, “Thank you, I was determined to be fair but not to take any bull manure.”  

The phrase sums up what I have seen of Armstrong’s leadership style. Kelly does not use the power he is entrusted with to trade favors, promote an ideology, or consolidate more power for himself. Instead, he uses the responsibility North Dakota voters have given him to promote a fair and just environment where ideas are heard, the process is transparent, and both sides can see justice in the outcome. He is not intimidated by the anger of social media mobs or titles and wealth of those in positions of power.  

Kelly Armstrong is a steadfast opponent of the mindless tribalism that has grown in our political discourse. He has proven himself as a statesman in a country in desperate need of more statesmen. I am grateful for the opportunity to vote for Kelly Armstrong in this upcoming primary. I encourage all of you to join me in making Kelly Armstrong the next governor of the great state of North Dakota.
