Washington, D.C. (Oct. 15, 2018) – NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy association is endorsing Kelly Armstrong (ND-AL) for election to the United States House of Representatives. NFIB announced the endorsement today at member business Dickinson Ready Mix & Concrete Products in Dickinson, North Dakota.
“As a small business owner himself, Kelly Armstrong understands the challenges our members face each and every day,” said NFIB’s North Dakota State Director Rae Ann Kelsch. “We are confident he will be a strong advocate for North Dakota small businesses and will help eliminate overregulation and protect small business tax relief. On behalf of our members in North Dakota, we are proud to endorse Kelly Armstrong for election to the United States House of Representatives.”
Kelly Armstrong has been a member of the North Dakota State Senate since 2012. Outside of politics, Kelly serves as vice president of his family’s small energy business, The Armstrong Corporation, in addition to owning several other small businesses.
“I am honored to have received NFIB’s endorsement. North Dakota’s economic foundation is small business. Whether it’s agriculture, energy, manufacturing, businesses like Ready Mix Concrete, our state’s small businesses employ North Dakota’s workforce. Like I have in the state Senate, I’ll be a champion for our small businesses as North Dakota’s Congressman,” said Armstrong.
“Kelly Armstrong’s background as a small business owner means that he knows the issues small businesses care about,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “We know he will stand with small businesses on issues that affect them both in Washington, D.C. and at home in North Dakota. We are glad to endorse Kelly Armstrong for election to the U.S. House.”
NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy association. Kelly Armstrong’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in North Dakota will work hard to elect Kelly Armstrong to the U.S. House.
