Republican US House of Representatives candidate Kelly Armstrong will be in Devils Lake on Saturday morning March 10 at 10am at Dunn Brothers Coffee for a candidate meet-and-greet.
Armstrong, a Republican state Senator from Dickinson and former chair of the NDGOP is looking forward to speaking with community members about issues important to North Dakota.
Kelly and his wife Kjersti met during their time at the University of North Dakota. After starting their careers in Grand Forks, the couple moved to Dickinson in 2007 to be closer to family. They have two children, Anna and Eli.
As a leader in the North Dakota Senate, Armstrong has successfully passed legislation on a wide range of issues important to the state including surge funding during the oil boom, DUI reform, and legislation passed during the DAPL protests to ensure law enforcement had the tools they needed to protect North Dakota residents. Armstrong also authored and passed legislation during the last session to protect local agricultural implement dealers from unfair demands by national manufacturers that threatened their livelihoods.
Armstrong has consistently been named one of the most conservative members of the North Dakota Senate, having the 4th most conservative voting record during the 2017 session.
