Kelly Armstrong, a candidate for the United States House of Representatives from North Dakota, has announced a major milestone just two weeks into his campaign.
Armstrong, a Republican State Senator from Dickinson and former NDGOP Chairman, has raised over $250,000 since announcing his candidacy two weeks ago, February 22 with in stops in Dickinson, Bismarck, and Fargo.
“North Dakotans finally have a candidate they are excited about to represent them in Congress,” said Campaign Manager, Rep. Michael Howe (R-22). “The amount of support Kelly has received in just two weeks shows how eager North Dakotans are to have a candidate that has a proven, conservative legislative record, as well as someone they know can get things done for North Dakota.”
“I entered this race because I believe that North Dakota needs an effective fighter representing us in the House of Representatives” said Armstrong. “It is absolutely humbling to see so many people get behind our campaign. When I first made this decision with my wife Kjersti, we could have never imagined the outpouring of support in such a short time.”
Armstrong has consistently had one of the most conservative voting records in the North Dakota Senate, finishing 10th in 2013, 3rd in 2015, and 4th in 2017.
The North Dakota Republican Convention is April 6, 7, and 8 at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.
